How To Setup VPN on DD-WRT

Protect your home network by routing your router's traffic through WorldVPN. Pick your protocol to see the DD-WRT setup guide.

Prerequisites:

A DD-WRT router with a firmware build supporting WireGuard. Download your WireGuard configuration file (.conf) from the WorldVPN client dashboard.

1

Enable WireGuard in DD-WRT

  • Log in to your DD-WRT web administration page (usually at 192.168.1.1).
  • Go to Setup > Tunnels.
  • Click Enable WireGuard, then click Save.
2

Configure WireGuard Interface

  • Under the WireGuard settings, paste your Private Key (from downloaded .conf).
  • Set the IP Address to your internal client VPN IP (e.g. 10.x.x.x) and set the subnet mask (choose /32).
3

Configure WorldVPN Peer

  • Scroll to Peers section and click Add Peer.
  • Enter Server Public Key and the Endpoint Address and Port as indicated in your config file.
  • Set Allowed IPs to 0.0.0.0/0 and tick Persistent Keepalive (value 25).
  • Click Save, then click Apply Settings. Your router is now tunnelled!
